ME BEFORE YOU Review (Evaluation/Voto 4/5)

me_before_you_film

The film based on the book of Jojo Moyes “Me Before You”, who also wrote the screenplay, is one of those films which impress not only young teenegers in search of mushy films but also adults or movie lovers looking for something more touching and profound . The film acts as a springboard for the careers of two actors Sam Claflin (Will Traynor) and Emilia Clarke (Lou Clark). Claflin played the role of the seductive and shameless Finnick in “Hunger Games”, and the one of romantic Alex in  “Love, Rosie”. Clarke is  known as the queen of fire in World Series Game of Thrones. In this new movie both the actor play a role far from the ones they performed before. Sam Claflin said thaat this was the hardest role he ever permormed; indeed, as he revealed in an interview “has been a challenge not only emotionally but especially physically. I did not realize it would have been difficult. I have gone over the limits”.Also Clarke was a surprise for the audience, which was accustomed to see her in the serious role of a combative queen, perhaps for the first time seen under a different light that seems to represent her. “It was liberating because I like to be happy”, she said, “ And I am so awkward and clumsy and I like to be stupid,” the  surprising fans of the series that certainly expected a totally different girl. The one we are talking about, is one of  those movies that manages to break free from the love story film to dig deep and touching real and modern topics. The director with the film then can treat a thorny and difficult issue with the characters, always too idealized to be real, but that can also move in  minds and in  the strongest hearts.

Speaking of love in film, there are those who think of the great romantic and discounted classics like Pretty Women (Richard Gere, Julia Roberts) or Two weeks Notice (Hugh Grant, Sandra Bullock). In this case the director (Thea Sharrock) seems to be able to give an original touch to the movie, producing a delicate and romantic film but at the same time dramatic that does not fall into  banality but rather proposes a different romance . A new kind of love that is of a  happy and carefree girl  with an eccentric taste in clothes(Lou) who falls for a young quadriplegic (will) paralyzed after being hit by a motorcycle.

An amazing element is definitely the background and the screenplay. Bold, flamboyant colors  enliven the scene as if to reflect the colorful and special clothes of the protagonist Lou. In conclusion what you notice during the course of the film is a great synergy that is created between the two protagonists. “Casting is the most important part. When I put together Sam and Emilia was amazing. Almost Magic. I could hear in the room and see in the room that we had found the right ones”, he explains.A film definitely to be seen and to whom to go equipped with handkerchiefs !!!!

Synopsis

The colored Lou Clark (Emilia Clarke) after losing his historical work as a waitress is having to face the test of working as assistant to the quadriplegic Will Traynor (Sam Claflin) victim of an accident. Although initially cold and unfriendly character of Will make difficult coexistence between the two,the  future will serber surprises and disappointments for both.

Recensione

Parlando d’amore in ambito cinematografico c’è chi pensa a grandi classici romantici e scontati come Pretty Women (Richard Gere, Julia Robert) oppure Two weeks Notice (Hugh Grant, Sandra Bullock) .
